The Nebraska Concrete and Aggregates Association held an ACI Certification Class at Husker Concrete. There were 50+ people in the class. Husker Concrete supplied the room for the written exam and also supplied the concrete for the hands on testing. The certification was for Field Testing Technician Grade 1. Students were taught how to correctly test concrete for slump, air content, field test specimens and temperature of fresh concrete.
The certification lasts for five years and the class was attended by concrete quality control technicians, including NEBCO Ready Mixed plants, Nebraska Department of Road Inspectors, and concrete testing companies.
